What is a Paisley Sheep?
It’s someone who follows the crowd… in her own way.
No, but seriously, why “paisley”?
It harkens to way back in the day, many years ago, when I stumbled on the name. I think it was some cheesy internet random mashup naming site. It spit out “paisley sheep,” and it was love at first sight. Since that time, back when I was a young teenager, I decided that if I had a band, I was going to name it “Paisley Sheep.”
And I did.
Sorta.
For a speech class in college, I had to persuade people to support my supposed band. That I named “Paisley Sheep.” I even made a logo. And got it printed on a t-shirt. I always relied heavily on props during speeches. Distract the crowd, y’know.
I still have that shirt. I no longer have this shirt, as I’ve finally cleared out a lot of “Why in the world am I still keeping this?” clothes when I moved. Sad, I know.
Even so, what does being a Paisley Sheep have to do with blogging?
I’m just one of the masses putting out my little mundane, humdrum life on the internet. Following the crowd, as it were. Like sheep.
Except I’m paisley.
(And maybe slightly envious of polka-dotted sheep. Because, of course, “polka dot” is one of most fun words to say in the English language. Unless it’s “spelunk.” The day I can naturally combine the two in a sentence, my mind will have been blown, and I can die happy.)
